We assume you are using a screen reader and/or a screen magnifier. In addition, we recommend using Opera with Voice with this site. Opera is a tabbed browser.
Click here to download Opera for free!
After you have downloaded and installed the program, install Voice by going to Tools – Preferences – Advanced – Voice.
If you already have a microphone installed on your computer, you can use that to give Opera voice commands. This is how Opera Voice works best and easiest for the visually impaired user. You can tell it to read text, to stop reading, to go to another tab, etc.
Opera has multiple tutorials which you can use to maximize your use of this program. Once Voice is installed, all of these tutorials can be read to you through Opera itself. Take the time to check this out!
Below we have listed some keyboard shortcuts that come in handy when using Opera. The commands you can give using your microphone appear in the Opera browser after you have installed Opera Voice. Opera also has internal settings to increase the size of fonts and to zoom into selected areas.
